Medway
Medway is a large area in Kent (in south-east England). The area enjoys the benefit of a traditional country location, yet is less than an hour from London in one direction, and the Kent coast in the other. Medway hosts students from four different universities, based in a joint campus near the historical docks. The area was once home to Charles Dickens and puts on several festivals to celebrate the author each year so is ideal for anyone looking for student accommodation in Medway.
Fun Fact: Rochester, in Medway, holds an annual festival to celebrate chimney sweeps. The Sweeps Festival falls on May Day – traditionally the only day off that chimney sweeps would have each year!
