Edinburgh
Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland (and is pronounced “ED-in-bruh”). It is a beautiful hilly medieval city, with a reputation for its friendly inhabitants and stunning scenery. Edinburgh is famous for its many festivals that run from July to September, showcasing comedy, theatre, literature and film. The city also hosts a huge four-day New Year’s street party called Hogmanay which is held in the main street so is ideal for anyone looking for student accommodation in Edinburgh.
Fun fact: Edinburgh Castle is built on an extinct volcano.
